The Field Affair – small and beautifully formed wedding venue

Unlike many camping wedding venues, The Field Affair is quite small, at just six acres, but those six acres have been carefully chosen to meet the needs of every wedding couple. Located comfortably between Worplesdon and Guildford, the land is easy to access from the A3 but also completely secluded and hidden from sight. It has two lovely streams that cross the site, a stand of trees and an open greensward for ceremonies, receptions and camping. There’s also parking for around 50 vehicles, a generous space that removes one worry – where to put all the cars! The philosophy of The Field Affair is to give their wedding couples as much scope as possible to design their own wedding, and bridal groups can choose from a range of optional extras such as hay bales, food hampers and bonfires, or decide to make all the arrangements themselves

Hidden Valley – a concealed gem for a camping wedding

Few camping spots are better named than Hidden Valley. It’s literally hidden, both secluded and surrounded by tall trees that conceal the lovely open space. But it’s not remote, in fact you can walk from the local church to Hidden Valley quite comfortably meaning that couples can actually have a religious wedding ceremony within a stone’s throw of their camping themed wedding area. Ideal for couples who are committed to a truly outdoor wedding day, the camping space can handle large marquees alongside bell tents and even pup tents belonging to your guests. Run by a husband and wife team, Hidden Valley has a personal vibe that makes every couple feel special.

Ridge Farm – iconic venue for a rock star wedding

Ridge Farm is truly picturesque – a 16th century farmhouse set in landscaped grounds. It’s also got a long and starry history, having been one of the first recording studios to host such stars as Queen and Roxy Music. As you’d imagine from such a rock’n’roll venue there are some very special facilities at Ridge Farm, including self-catering for up to 24 in the farmhouse (and there’s a separate bridal cottage if you don’t want to camp), there’s a tennis court and poorhouse with heated swimming pool, spa and sauna, and the possibility of having a wedding blessing in the grounds. The guest camping is similarly luxurious, with both electricity and water. Ideal for a big wedding, Ridge Farm handles 150 guests comfortably

High Billinghurst – beautifully rustic

When it comes to camping wedding venues UK wide, few can surpass High Billinghurst. Why? There’s a huge barn with fireplace and chandeliers that seats 160 guests, with another adjoining barn for big receptions. The courtyard and walled rose garden are ideal locations for a champagne reception, while bride, groom and guests can party into the small hours before retiring to their tents to sleep the night away.

Long Acres – bespoke outdoor weddings
